1930's, most likely continued teaching Vo Ag in Hillsborough County
1939 - 1/2 day Pinecrest and 1/2 day at Plant City
Early 1940's, began full-time at Plant City
1944-45, became Vo Ag Supervisor in Hillborough County
Late 1940's, became Area/District Supervisor of Vo Ag as a State Staff member in the Gainesville area
Retired in the late 1950's (1958 we think)
1972-73, Plant City established the J.G. Smith Chapter (Jr. Chapter)
Today the J.G. Smith Chapter is a Sr. Chapter
